What makes Yanks so special you want to pay for it to be better for you? How about you just deal with it.
Many of us "yanks" would be happy to donate to make this server run better. I myself will donate a good bit IF I know my money will get used properly. The server we currently have is inadequate.
I think the server needs to be moved.
Put it in the US.
Why?
Most of our current player base seems to be from; Europe, United States, New Zealand, Australia ,Central America, and South America.
What country is between all these regions? The US
To the Kiwis and Aussies that means you are approximately 3000 miles closer to the server
To the South Americans you are 2000 miles closer to the server.
To the Europeans, Wont be so good for you. However due to the high quality of the connections between the US and Europe it shouldn't raise your ping significantly.
So, move the server. But words are only good for so much.
I will pledge 100 US starting 4-18-14 every 3 months if this server is moved.
Why?
Because Disco has become my favorite game and I don't want to see it die off because of a crappy server.
Also, I find the whole anti-US bias to be quite amusing. Consider this; Freelancer was designed by an American, Released by an American company, and Liberty is basically Space America and has most of the activity on this server.
