I know somewhere along the line they dislike each other, but on the I.D. no mention as enemies...

The problem (or confusion?) more or less lies with the current HF ID. The old HF ID, from when the faction was closed and official, permitted Legionnaires to shoot whatever faction was diplomatically hostile with them. Including Junkers. When HF lost it's officialdom and then became and open faction, lines in it's ID had to be changed. Ergo, instead of the HF ID reading that they could shoot factions that are diplomatically hostile to the Legion, they now can only shoot Liberty Law Enforcement and Crimminals/Pirates. Junkers are quasi-lawfuls and therefore do not come under any of those two groups.

But yeah, maybe you can take advantage of this change and do something for your groups benefit. However if the rest of the Legion or the Xenos were to catch wind of this it could have repercussions. More or less dictated by the Hellfire Legion.
