but i think it would look better with the tower amidships instead off to the side

I think this is a great Idea. It would make it look a bit better. Oh, and increase the size of the tower a bit. Think Star Destroyers.

Hey xing if i might make a suggestion. The forward underside is a bit too flat. You seem to be going with a reall speedboat sort of bow shape, try embelashing that a bit.

PS. I would keep the side tower it is a major characteristic of American carriers.

The flat deck sticks out a bit too much to the front in my opinion. Make it a bit shorter, bringing the curved bow up to the edge.

TBH, it looks like a enterprise class with some engines strapped on. Not at all like a space ship. Needs to be more rounded and streamlined.
Try modeling it after the latest carrier off the line instead: Ford Class Carrier

Definitely seems more streamlined to me, and looks a bit less blocky.

I'"ll say make it look like it has been made to fly only in space

because right now it looks like the navy strapped some Engines on a BS to put it in orbit:crazy:

as said,,,maybe make it a little more symetrical, like the example that duke has suggested,,

However it is looking real good
