And by the way no, also roleplay is still available on the server. At least I do it quite regularly, ingame as well as on the forums, and I know others who do it as well.
Show me at least single faction that have at least 5 days of pure RP activity.
You all for some reason believe that RP is a chit chat with another character. Well I am about to disappoint you, because PVP is part of RP as well. And you just can not change that, no matter how much you want it. With this offer I actually wish to give this sort of RP to have at least some consequences, rather then being just a senseless pew pew that will not have any outcome.
I didn´t notice you edited this. Erm, no. I´m not disappointed, I have no problem to agree that PvP is part of RP. And of course RP is not just chit chat. And I don´t want to change anything.
I respect those who are here mainly for PvP and I also said that I´m not against idea of story affected by player PvP events. But I also said it needs limits and rules. Because same as I respects that "mainly PvPers" are on the server and they have their needs, they should in same way respect those "mainly RPers" who likes chit chat and RPing trade agreements and base building etc. and their needs.

In case you did not notice, I was speaking about faction activity. Show me at least one faction that benefit a lot from pure RP.
We are going off topic it seems. What I said was simply reaction to

what sounds like RP is no longer available on this RP server. What is not true.
To return to the topic: I asked for limits because letting the RP universe be heavily affected (losing stations or even whole systems, in extreme cases even ruining whole houses) by pure PvP events is not good. In same way that you don´t like that you can´t affect the story line, I don´t like the idea that the RP universe my characters live in (and where I as a player play) will be affected only by selected small bunch of players and only by their gaming skills or even by simple luck (or lag is some cases).
To pick example with Rheinland - I don´t want to see it ruined because - imagine situation where most RM/RNC skilled players won´t be there. And the Rheinland will start to lose (and then maybe lose completely) Hamburg to Liberty, Dresden and Omega-11 to Hessains and Omega-7 and then maybe even Stuttgart to Corsairs. Within year or even less, whole house I like to play in will be reduced to two or three systems. Only because we didn´t have enough skilled players. I don´t want to see that.
Fights over one system (or two in case of Bering/Hudson for example) are okay for me. But more than that is not okay. Especially when the "fair conditions" can be questioned because no one really know what that means - or better said, there is several opinions about it (if you want to test it, create thread about it and watch the argument which will start there).
So to get to the final word and end this wall of text:
(10-10-2014, 12:01 PM)Timmy Wrote: So what do you think?
I say yes, but only in limited way if you want to make these events every month. Like:
Fight over Bering, Hudson, Bremen and New Hampshire in Rheinland x Liberty war
Fight over Leeds in Bretonia x Gallia war (it´s hard to make examples here though because Gallia is already too deep in Bretonia)
Fight over Magellan in Liberty x Gallia war
Fight over Dresden (and maybe Omega-11) in Rheinland x Hessians war
I won´t write more, I hope my point is clear enough and there is too much wars in Disco to name them all
