I'm not entirely convinced that this was really a deliberated decision by the Admins and not a knee-jerk reaction.
Not only is this (apparently, so I was told) not deliberated with the various zoner faction heads and such to determine if they even wanted it, and the Order Leader given a chance to at least sort it out quietly before taking measures, It also does not help either of the factions. Order may take some iRP damage but those consequences would have to be enforced by something more than a rephack. Some of the ones mentioned in the thread would work. Although you'll need to do a lot of convincing before I'll believe that a bunch of hobos living on the fringe are the primary suppliers of a cutting-edge paramilitary. I don't doubt that they constitute a significant portion of said supplies, particularly basic ones. But serious resource funding on a scale require to maintain even a small paramilitary should be beyond the means of societal outcasts like the Zoners (that is their traditional RP, it's been mutilated to such an extent though.)
Then again, we've seen this kind of over exaggeration of Zoner importance in affairs before. The Corsair version of this saw a lot of the same strawman. The Corsairs didn't buy it, and their resource crunch is as severe if not more severe than the Order's. But until the Admin team or Dev team issues a definitive statement on how important (or not, as the case might be) zoners really are, we can't really say for certain.
What is required at this juncture is for the Admin team to foster reconciliation, allow the involved factions to present arguments and viewpoints and look to reverse this decision, or at least make the involved factions make relevant roleplay gestures towards bridging this divide.
Or we can continue throwing mud at each other and being generally whiny toddlers. That works too. Because the kind of argument that's coming from you people...dear god.
