The Armed Forces Of The Republic of Liberty maintains and operates THOUSANDS of fighter and bombercraft on a daily basis, the fact that you see a large amount of Capital Class vessels merely reflects our status as a military force confronted with numerous internal and external threats to our territorial security.
Never in the history of humanity has a competent military force not retained ample fleet sizes composed of large ships of war. He who controls the seas wins wars, after all. In this case however, it's territorial space and not planetary oceans. Nonetheless, capital class warships are necessary for this task, and they are a crucial part of fleet and force projection operations.

A wing of fighters and bombers does not a fleet makeup. As for the encounter you've mentioned, I believe there's a different issue at hand that you should be complaining about, as opposed to suggesting that we restructure our ENTIRE military on the basis of your opinion and how you feel.

As a military pilot yourself, you should know all of this full well, so I'm not sure who you think you are to make such a complaint. You should be cautious when speaking seditious words as well, pilot. You are a military pilot and it is your job to see to the defense of our Great Republic, either on your own, or by the orders of other pilots. The military is not a game, and if you can't handle it then I suggest that you transition back into civilian life once your enlistment term comes to an end.

I know that the burden of flying regular patrols is a great one, and I know the pain of seeing comrades and subordinate officers killed or injured, but these are the risks that come with choosing a career in the Armed Forces, and there is no excuse for Dereliction of Duty.
