Justin continued to browse the news, though was caught offguard by her sudden unexpected outburst. Christy was about to interject when Skye took her tea and moved away to the corner table again, standing in dispair again. "Every day you cause trouble like this Mr Dehavilland!" she said loudly before leaning into the counter on the opposite side from Justin.
"I may have said too much..." Justin replied simply, still reading the news headlines, Christy pressed a button on the display crystal which closed the hologram. "When are you going to stop hiding behind self grandeur, be a real man, and start cleaning up the messes you make?" she asked coldly, Justin frowned at his news being closed, but could feel that the large woman before him was being deadly serious and so kept his cool, straightening his face.
"How you ever made sergeant i'll never know" she chuffed disoprovingly. "I dont expect you to know" Justin retorted and stood up with his coffee, picking up the display crystal and putting it into his chest pocket. he moved over to the corner table where the Junior constable had retreated to.
"I said too much just now.... id like to say 'dont take everything that gets said to you to heart' but if you do that too often, you'll just end up like me..." Justin rumbled in a low tone, before continuing, "I do know what you are going through... Oh, and my question was not directed at you specifically, but really why anyone would join the police..." Justin finished, moving away to another table and sitting down, more to be out of Christy's direct gaze than anything else.
As he seated himself the music faded and a loud rumble of thunder bellowed outside, rattling the windows shakily.
