Planet Tomioka would be my legal residence. I live on the Western sector, in an old farmer settlment. However, I mainly spent my time out of work on the living quarter on the main deck of my Hegemon.
A brief background and why you are interested in working for Samura Heavy Industries:
( A man of a certain age appears on the screens. With a strong Kyushu accent, this man looks really peaceful. A sort of peacefulness that all farmers possess, a sort that is somehow mixed with humility. )

My name is Meito Motoï and I'm 56 years old. My family found a part of its origin on planet Kyushu. My ancestors were amongst the first colonists that follow our dear estimated guide Isao Yoshida and have settled down on the planet right after.
If I remember the stories right, when my ancestors landed on Kyushu, they discovered this pristine paradise. At that time, they were facing an empty planet and could decide where they wanted to live on that planet. My family choose to live on a remote part of the planet. The soil was very fertile near our house and we turned it into a farm. We were growing mainly rice. However, most of the other colonist were settling in a less remote area, leading the construction of the space infrastructure far away from our home. The demand for food was important for New Tokyo and despite our bigger cost to export our crops, we could maintain a relatively decent lifestyle. Centuries went by and my family kept on the rice plantation running.
When the synthpaste arrived, everything changed forever for us. My family was one of the first to be hit by the lower demand on Rice and after centuries of farming, we had to find something else to do. We sold our farm to Samura and with this generously given money, we could buy tickets on a shuttle for planet Tomioka.
Once arrived on the new built farmer settlements on Tomioka, we had nothing but the change from the tickets. I therefor was desperate to find a job. We all were. On the shuttle to go to Tomioka, I met an other farmer who had lived the same situation on Kyushu. He told me that Samura were hiring miners but I didn't know anything about mining. And even less about it in a zero G environment. However, I quickly realize that the main activity on Tomioka was around the mining business and I could get a job as a unloader bot pilot. After all, the model used to unload platinum from the Hegemons were almost the same used on Kyushu to unload the rice canisters and I knew how to use those bot.
I worked 3 years on the Tomioka spaceport until I could buy a old Hegemon with the help from a loan from Samura. I could learn how to steer this giant metal monster without too much difficulties and realized that the work wasn't so different from the one on planet Kyushu. Wake up early, respect the work, and be thankful for what the gods have given me. I named my ship in accordance to this: Toho Kami Emi Tame, which means "Distant Gods have mercy upon us". Beeing a Samura subcontractor was much more nicer than working as a bot pilot. I could make extra cash much quicker and could reimburse my generous creditors at Samura's.
Once the loan was over, a manager from the mining department at Samura invited me to apply as a full-time employee. He said I could be useful to Shiojiri rapid development. I was honoured by this invitation. I never knew that the simple farmer that I was could satisfy this great Corporation. I think honestly that this job offer can restore peace in my ancestor's mind as my family will now be able to live decently and prosper in its new system: Nagano.
What OOC reason(s) do you have for joining Samura Heavy Industries, if you have any?
I want a miner on Shiojiri and didn't wanted to just apply for docking clearance. I realize that I won't be very active in Samura, but I can at least help with the mining for departing convoys / filling Shiojiri. I also believe that with my connections inside DHC can help to organize inter-corporate trading.
