Dear Mrs. Winterton

Even as a businessman, I dare say, I understand enough about research, that one should not prematurely deem the research of a specific field as “completed”, as you so eloquently put it. I do, however, understand your disincline to keep researching the field.

Consequently, we would also like to negotiate transfer of your results and raw data of your studies of the nomad power-cells and related fields so our scientist can continue from there. It might be a long shot, but given the fact that obtaining those items was difficult in the first place, I'm not prepared to call that a loss just yet.

However, knowing your breakthroughs in other fields, or so my head scientist of Kosenayr Technologies, Mr. Van der Waals, told me, we'd be delighted to collaborate in other fields of research. The specifics of which you will have to negotiate with my lead scientist and his team of business-advisers. Needles to say, we're more interested in applied science than basic research.

It is to say, that the big advantage of KTI is the close interconnection with other subsidiaries of Omicron Supply Industries, such as the manufacturing and engineering branch. Representatives of those branches are, due to a rotational assignment an integral part of KTI. So be prepared to talk with people outside of the scientific community about the intricate details of your research.
