The Kusari Explorer is a flying mostrousity , so I don't think that should be used as reference for anything
Also, first, I think you should try and make the current gunship model a bit more up to date and use new textures on it, cause it might do the trick instead of start from scratch , cause the model itself is not bad, just doesn't have much detailes , and the last time I flew it, it's archs were horrible
