I believe the encounter was a coincidence, or that the Nomad was following us the entire time. I had a sense that it also wanted to bring some of it's friends to join the party, the Commune. The Commune were previously known as the Samarran Raiders, and still carry on their aspirations to assist the aliens where possible. Considering how small we are, I am doubting corruption within us.

Operation started when Outcast vessels were detected hindering Independant Mining Guild pilots in the Tau-23 sector, I moved to engage an Outcast by the call sign of [-=XTF=-]Chuba[R] - the ship was destroyed. Another Outcast by the call sign Arrosa was also shortly seen after the removal of the XTF. Proceeding to engage the target, it retreated back to its station with critical injuries.
Because of these small skirmishes, I offered out my assistance to the IMG convoy that was about to take place, they gladly accepted. They also appreciated my help in taking out the pestering vessels in the vicinty and compensated my actions by donating some funds.
I quickly stocked up and prepared for their convoy. The journey was quite long, we started off from Tau-23, to head to New Berlin via Kusari, along this route, it was completely quiet. Though, I couldn't help overhear an ALG pilot talking about having some deals with a disclosed partner in the Omicrons? Who knows.
Quote:[01.12.2015 19:54:24] [ALG]-TGX-Peenemuende: Erich: Yes, about that. There are ... rumours going around about Division V.
[01.12.2015 19:55:16] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: Not much we can say, I'm afraid. Besides the occasional trip like this, almost all V operations are classified.
[01.12.2015 19:55:30] Sapphire.Raven:: Oh. Solothurn.
[01.12.2015 19:55:31] Sapphire.Raven:: I remember that.
[01.12.2015 19:55:35] IMG|Diamond: All files marked "V. Secret"
[01.12.2015 19:55:36] IMG|Falling.Teardrop: Now you got me interested. V- is like ... the ALG smuggling group?
[01.12.2015 19:55:53] Raven's.Night: Nuclear devices transports?
[01.12.2015 19:55:53] IMG|Diamond: Not that there is any IMG equivalent *cough*
[01.12.2015 19:56:16] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: Ah, yes. We were operating as a military attache of sorts alongside you, Sapphire.
[01.12.2015 19:57:21] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: Division V is corporate security in title, Julia. In practice we form ALG's "special operations" branch.
[01.12.2015 19:57:24] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: So to speak.
[01.12.2015 19:57:28] [ALG]-TGX-Peenemuende: Erich: How "classified"? Does the President know?
[01.12.2015 19:57:45] IMG|Falling.Teardrop: Special.. operations branch. Aaaaall right! Souznds... mightily... secretive and shizz
[01.12.2015 19:58:04] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: Ms Atzenbruck has full clearance, but I doubt she has the time to go through all our operational reports on top of everything.
[01.12.2015 19:58:51] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: It's mostly our teams and the director that plan and process our endeavors.
[01.12.2015 19:59:43] [ALG]-TGX-Peenemuende: Erich: How intriguing.
[01.12.2015 20:00:08] IMG|Falling.Teardrop: So, ALG-V... tell us one operation!
[01.12.2015 20:00:11] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: Can't complain, though. The nondisclosure is annoying at times, but we get all the fancyest toys first.
[01.12.2015 20:00:30] Raven's.Night: You transport dead alien brains ?
[01.12.2015 20:00:39] Sapphire.Raven:: Aliens don't have brains.
[01.12.2015 20:00:49] Raven's.Night: I was told that they do
[01.12.2015 20:00:50] IMG|Diamond: Not when Division V is done with them.
[01.12.2015 20:01:05] Raven's.Night: ok
[01.12.2015 20:01:06] IMG|Diamond: I'm not exactly an expert
[01.12.2015 20:01:12] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: I cannot confirm or deny that. But, as an example: We're to deliver VP-series MOX reactors to an undisclosed source-
[01.12.2015 20:01:19] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: in the far Omicrons.
[01.12.2015 20:01:22] Sapphire.Raven:: Hm...
[01.12.2015 20:01:23] IMG|Falling.Teardrop: Aha!
[01.12.2015 20:01:29] Sapphire.Raven:: To the far Omicrons, eh?
[01.12.2015 20:01:33] Raven's.Night: So the aliens can have your ship hulls, better be careful.
[01.12.2015 20:01:44] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: That would be the sort of thing we do.
[01.12.2015 20:01:54] Sapphire.Raven:: There's only... four different types of people - or at least the major groups, that you could be going forl
[01.12.2015 20:01:57] Sapphire.Raven:: Maybe five.
[01.12.2015 20:02:06] Raven's.Night: The Wilde
[01.12.2015 20:02:09] Raven's.Night: ?
[01.12.2015 20:02:10] Sapphire.Raven:: Yeah obviously.
[01.12.2015 20:02:27] Raven's.Night: They're friendly when they receive cardamine I was told in a bar.
[01.12.2015 20:02:27] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: Oh, it could be anyone. Could be an individual or organization that isn't normally active in the Omicrons, but wishes-
[01.12.2015 20:02:30] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: to trade there.
[01.12.2015 20:02:43] IMG|Diamond: As if anyone would have shady dealings in the Omicrons.
[01.12.2015 20:02:45] Raven's.Night: Yea all explosions
[01.12.2015 20:02:47] Sapphire.Raven:: I was going to go to that next point, yes.
[01.12.2015 20:02:48] IMG|Diamond: Sounds like propaganda to me
[01.12.2015 20:03:22] [ALG]-V-Solothurn: *laughs nervously* Look, I understand all of your curiosity, but really I cannot say more than that.
[01.12.2015 20:03:36] Sapphire.Raven:: Something wrong?
Besides a little fight with some idiotic Xenos, namely Jim.Hammer and Local.Martyr who attempted to pick a fight and failed. Either way from there on, nothing much more notable was heard or seen. Anyhow, at all cargo checkpoints, the escorts were paid. Attaching the total sums gathered now...
Quote: Total: 43,000,000
Not bad. Forty-seven million in a single patrol.
Action report on the Eidolon. An opportunity was shown today for the Eidolon to test how truly efficient it is in combat. We went over to the distress call and eliminated some infested vessels. The underperformance was beyond terrible. Though, before we started going towards the 'test field' some unknown vessel was following the vessel, we warned it to not approach the area, and well, it failed to heed our warning and paid the price. They were detonated by a direct impact from a Gunboat Razor.
Although it dropped some rather interesting items such as Med-Stasis Bands, some Gravity Field Stabilizers, Nox, Stabiline, and some samples of Cardamine and Artifacts. We took these for ourselves and immediately sent it down to the Research Bay for further examination.
Besides testing the combat efficiency, we were able to gather Nomadic substances from the wreckages of the infested vessels. We can assign some of the material down to the Labs, or sell it on.
Small announcement:
The Reticent, a recently purchased vessel from Bretonia, is going to be operating under our name. The people will be acting as undercover agents who will locate individuals suitable for our cause. They will also deal with any commercial dealings. They are both known as Purveyor Zaira Virzi and Zeno Ferrin. Wish them luck.
