In that incident, I logged on the Jugger before getting on any other char, so I didn't know the Corsairs were there in the first place. Within seconds I saw two Corsair Dreads in system, along with 4 support ships.. So I had the Caedo log on too, to equal the BS number, then went about getting some other backup in smaller ships, but thats when you guys took off.
And yes, 4 bombers can kill most capship fleets.. But thats the problem. TBH's peak time comes around 4-5 hours before AW's peak time.. When you guys have most of yours on, I can only get 2-3 people on, including myself. Later in the night I can get 5-7 usually. 8 occasionally. But around that time we either see no OPG/TBH on, or 1-3.. So getting the required number of bombers for a capship-killing group isn't very easy. Membership is going up a bit, not too quickly though, so I'm hoping soon I'll be able to. Of course I'll need to train them up to our standards first..
Since I can't get enough on for that tactic, we aim to match capship numbers. If Corsairs have 2 Dreads, we bring the Jugger and Caedo. We know that they can take them because of superior armor, though 1 vs 2 wouldn't work at all. Thats why we equal BS numbers, then have any support as bombers/fighters. The first fight we had Jugger, Caedo, 1 AW bomber, 1 OC bomber came to help, and 1 Mercenary fighter. So 2 BSs, 3 B/VHF ships. I'd rather it be 2 Cr and 3 B/VHF personally..
But yeah, generally when I first log on I'll either log onto a non-AW char and check, or onto the Ableben, so if you see my jugg log on, don't immediately switch to dreads.. If I see no enemy BSs, I won't be bringing a BS.
