I guess as long as we are tossing out ridiculous ideas, how about this instead:
1: Require anyone who has a pirate character to have and play on a trader character. That way there are more traders in the end for other Pirates to attack.
2: Triple the amount for a LOLcap so Piracy doesn't seem like a good way to get one quickly to go swanning about in.
3: Buff LAWFUL NPCS in house systems so they can provide a challenge to pirates. You shouldn't be able to sit in a capital house system and pirate to your hearts content without any sort of challenge.
OR
You can make it balanced for both sides, and let the skill of the individual players determine the outcome....
Don't get me wrong, there are some good pirates out there, those are the fun ones to rp with.... but there are more bad ones out there that feel its beneath them to trade and that everyone else should support them in their bid to get XXXXXX.
