Most of the people playing Disco these days do not even have any voice in the community. Why should our regular 90~ players online every day be the victims of 5 people being banned. People they will never encounter, nor should care about?
Perhaps banning 6 more or less valuable members of the community have no ties to the rest, in which case they are right at not having interest in becoming the victims of such drama.
Perhaps starting to ban more or less valuable members of the community with little to no apparent reasons and without indication whether this trend may or may not continue, may easily have ties to every one of us, in which case people are burying their heads deep into the sand about matters related to them as well. Remember how St.Denis warned that those evading the bullets may not do so next time, remember how other staff members said there were more people brought up to discussion whether should be banned or not.
I guess it's just a matter of perspective, and willingness to notice the reality happening around you.
And about your "bearing a title one has not interest in anymore" remark, I can't see it applying on devs currently on strike. To me it looks more like they do not only have interest in making the mod better, but also in keeping the community not to collapse around it due to the actions of an adminsitrative team they may deemed incorrect. At least they communicated that. That some may not want to understand what they say or willing to twist it to fit their own needs is an other matter.
