What Disco needs is some sort of sanity in this mess.
De-escalation starts with obvious mistakes being rectified.
Not with protesters being shut up/ignored/banned/...
Consciously escalating the situation by lashing out at the protesters is the worst possible approach.
The Dev strike was necessary to make the staff take the protest seriously enough to even bother to rethink questionable action. Sad thing that it became necessary, regrettable that it slows down the mod, but that cannot have come as a surprise.
@Staff: Just present an acceptable solution. By now, I bet a lot of people are willing to compromise and accept a reasonable solution. Most just want to go back to normality, I think. And that is what would be best for Disco.
