Today many members of the trade traffic between Bretonia and Rheinland were left perplexed as the recent Ion Storm left its mark on the gate connection between Omega 7 and Omega 3 systems. Experts report that the gates, having suffered the usual wear and tear damage from criminal and natural activity alike, did not hold up from a more powerful Ion Storm burst earlier today.
The gates have malfunctioned and were automatically shut down to prevent issues. The houses of Bretonia and Rheinland have already dispatched protection and a repair operation has been set up in order to renew the connection as fast as possible.
Civilian transit will need to be rerouted through Liberty, officials say, though they also admit that most possibly the more adventurous and the impatient lot will try their chances through the nearby semi-charted systems. Knowing this the PR heads have already invited the involved parties to seek our adequate protection and to be extremely careful of criminal activity in the area.
Work has already began to calculate the supplies needed to repair both gates and the information on it will be made public soon.
