Uhh, hi. Terribly sorry about the week and a half of radio silence, but, I've got another report for the top brass. I'm startin' to feel like a bloody main character in a holodrama. Anyways, on the 7th, I launched from Hesperia for solo patrol at approximately 2130 hours. As I was exiting the Sierra field, I received another one of those messages on civilian channels from the trade lane network regardin' a high-energy disturbance in the New York system. Naturally, I went to investigate, because what could go wrong with gallivantin' off by my lonesome, right?
Had I known that to be "an empty husk of a station[5] with barely-functional life support systems filled up with Corsair artifacts[6] in Omicron f*ckin' Kappa[7]", I wouldn'a bothered. Alas, I didn't, and thus, I did. Just in case there was somethin' off about the station's contents, I put a couple crates[8] of the stuff into my fighter's hold. By the way, when I get back home, remind me to start lifting or somethin', because I am decidedly not comfortable with how much of a sweat I broke movin' those boxes around. Anyway...
Soon enough, I was getting a signal[9] from not one[10], but three[11]Republic dreadnoughts[12]. After we amicably and mutually[13] got a handle on the situation, we agreed t'work together until we figured out a way home, or something—for the jump hole was a one-way phenomenon. Thank heaven the alien forces were all on the other side, too, or I doubt I'd be alive to send this transmission right now.
As our improbable and impromptu party of jumped-through explorers and morons made its way to a planet of some sort[14] that we had spotted in the distance, we were approached by an Auxesian patrol[15], which guided us to a system Sigma-15[16] – I think also called Luneburg? – and a Freeport[17] therein. The Republic battlegroup, including the civilians that had made the journey as well, elected to tread through Rheinland space[18] without so much as a "how do ye do" to the relevant authorities, and I have no idea what became of them.
I myself refueled at the Freeport in Luneburg, and, after the departure of the Auxesian forces, made my lonely way back to Omicron Delta, where I encountered, among other things, Sapphire Raven aboard the Eidolon Wraith. She really knows how to get around, huh? Uhh... not like that, I mean—ah, hell. Geographically speakin'. Anyway, I was bloody exhausted, and was kindly offered to rest aboard the Wraith, which I took Raven up on. I'm delivering this transmission from aboard it, even. I wasn't too keen on flying through all of Rheinland and the Independent Worlds on my own, nor through the Sigmas, then Kusari, then the same, especially as I don't think we've got many friends out that way. The Wraith, however, is back in Inverness, and with it, I'm about to fly back to the Fort to unload this cargo, then back to Hesperia.
