Wasn't something like this planned in the Tau 44 event series anyway? But I fully agree: some sort of incentive to make people log and take part in their event (I mean, it was made for you! How often do you get something in Disco that is for you?) is needed.
Likely I am too much of an idealist when I assume that if you are given an opportunity to do something "outside of the ordinary", factions you would take it and use it - even without the incentives.

I did not say anything about that in my last post. It is a fact though, that the siege threat made Tau 44 cap fights impossible as CR had to move their stuff back to Coronado. So, yes: it is a real thing. But as GRN does not seem interested in Tau 44 fighting (and CR has not been pushing for it either much), this can be seen as "the end of the on server pewpew" episode. 3 organised fights, and it's over. That's pretty sad when compared to the past. Especially, when looking at the plans for Tau 44 with near-indestructible POB flag ships, and pews and stuff. For me at least, it does not look as if there was a basis for that any more. And that's really sad. The decision to derail and to force focus away from the event is at least partially to blame for it in my view.
Plus: you cannot convince me that this is not a "we boycot and win on another ID" move. I have been on Disco for too long to buy your "It's totally not that", and you even said yourself that some might have made it look like it.
