Yeah, it's called common sense to say that, because neither you nor I can see into the head of the people, even when you think you can guess everyone's intentions. So let's rather stay within the facts, and while I surely don't need to name people here, it should be obvious that Gallia-related stuff is less popular than for example the Maltese-related stuff with it's many inofficial factions, a way more powerful ID that has a ZoI in all the active spots of Discovery (Liberty, Bretonia, Omicrons) and capital ship access while also having one of the more fleshed-out and versatile lore offers. There are so many anchor points the OCs have the Gallics don't have, as they are simply mad french people.
So, yeah, conspiracy theories are always hilarious, but they are theory.
