Thomas had felt the feeling of light on his face. The only reality where it moved and touched your skin like this was within the dream.

The dream itself was a grand multidimensional reality that was held by all the casts of the peaceful beloved... aka Solomon Khara.

Appearing around him.. it was apparent. He was not in control here he was either within an enclave or some inner territory of the hive where a caste had more control than others.

Figures appeared under each archway..

Dreamers.. the Antediluvians of the hive.. its forebearers and builders.. the assimilators of ideas and inventors of dreams.

They all looked at Thomas as he rose and several images came from behind him.. They must have been scanning him.. he didn't resist. it was unwise to resist here of all places.

I pair of hybrid weapons appeared.. a representation of the proteus tome.. and a sigil of some familiarity.. the triangle with three circles.

"Teacher of men... The winds flow thrice. Thom-mas... you are named before us. We have you now.. many questions we have for you.. we will know the light."

They wanted answers for what they found in him.. oddly enough he only has answers for two of the images..

"Yes. I am open to you."

Gifts given are for no other, gifts given are light, are trust, and you gave it away to mere Darkling's (is spit the word like a slap in his face). -Explain.-

"I did it out of love for life. It was a deal made with shadows yes, but what I gave them was no mere weapon. I gave them the clues I know. The knowledge I know. Because you.. ... you cannot see what ive seen."

"INSOLENCE -We- see ALL within you!"

it was a powerful statement it was meant to squash him.. feeling anger and betrayl in the form of a psychical force was something... unique to the Dream.. everything had weight.. every emotion, thought. even ideas where weapons here.

"You see all but you do not comprehend."

"Lies" another voice said. base and powerful.. all knew the guardian. all knew who the harbinger is.

"You and that mongrel may have stopped us but this was your downfall. You horde like the darklings, you keep secrets, secrets within the dream kill..."

"The truth is often small and silent. Self evidence is as silent as the void. you have to listen, you must not give into harshness for the truth."

"Weve heard enough the Hive has new songs to sing and the exquisite audience for our cathedral of songs will alite with the screams of billions of flicker lives.... we will silence suns.. we will cleanse the void of their stink... because you... you were the last test "teacher" we learned no matter how advanced you are... you still "stink" of them.

Thomas was seeing the other dreams tainted in red.. this was what he was doing this whole time.. we had bansihed him into the star crusher... but he..twisted it.. learned its secrets.. and now the dreamers follow him because he has the information they needed..

It was all falling apart so quickly.. it couldent all happen cause of two guns.. no.. hes doing this cause..

"Am I such a threat to you? .. you are not ready.."

The great burning eyes of harbinger came close to thomas.. burning.. hatred oozing from its visage..



"Pathetic worms of meat and bone... panting and sweating within entombed walls... you seek annihilation by taunting us?"

"You... aren't... Ready.. and I will save you all."

The growl became a moan the moan became a scream.. he didn't have complete control within the dreamers after all as all he could do was go.. His "say" or Turn was done when Thomas had the last word of truth. Harbinger was not ready but he was close.. he was close enough to see his intended target was new york.. It didn't matter how many died to him.. he wanted that system destroyed so he could pick over the pieces. and find out why his makers cursed him with this existence.

It was eye opening.. Harbinger felt "cursed" to live.. ... something he had never felt in a nomad.

"Thom-mas why save us? What threat is there?"

it was time to let the cat out of the bag.

"You are the most enlightened of your race.. but even then Nysk the first high mother knew a seed of darkness existed within the hive.. Nysk was a mother.. a caregiver and knew that provoked any being could be brought to kill. But also knew that the light was all knowing because its dreams subvert all life that it touches."

"Mastery of life. We are the masters of life." They.. -explain- it this way often.

"You can remake many things assimilate novel forms of living beings for your own expansion and have.. as well as have the wisdom to preserve these forms .. As masters however.. humans are also masters of their environment.. you see it as corruption.. but man.. cannot corrupt everything if they are taught responsibility."

"The dark minds their fruits are without respect."

"Its a paradigm... the individual being you corrupt makes you monsters to them.. the lands and planets they inhabit.. instead of one world they seed many worlds.. and you see that as... well.. "

"It is grotesque, they spread and corrupt."

"Humans must survive... but they need many things to do that... they must adapt many places because they are weaker.. more blind.. their history is a litany of pain, and if they forget their pain.. they repeat it. Thusly everything they do they do for survival. and it can become a spell. an illusion of survival.. it is their dream. Their nightmare."

"We could feel pity, we cannot forgive them."

thomas finally had them listening..

"Dreamers... We must awaken."

the thought form of that sentiment.. hushed a million minds.. almost the first time ever the idea of "waking up" made sense to them.. it didn't mean discarding the dream it meant focusing on the material reality around them like the humans had. to see it from their eyes.. without smothering the vision within the dream.

"For generations exarchs have died and succeeded in returning to the dream to give this universe the truth about morality..and humanism and for the first time.. ever I had a glimpse into your soul.. I saw that as humans suffer.. in their world you have suffered here.. in this unchanging place. You all saw the novelty of young eyes witnessing these ancient halls for the first time.. human hybrid eyes distracting you from the reality of this ancient prison.. this nightmare.."

"New feelings, new songs, Your gift... it is why we had questions.. why we did not "cleanse" you."

"You subverted their bodies for novelty the infected spread because you are masters of life... but human nature is to not be alone.. they spread because you both feel this pain.. the cycle persists because of a nightmare. An illusion.. The Key resides within the spine of the Litany of old songs. Not its pages.. but its core, its spine, it has the cypher for infinite knowledge and its what you must adapt in order to break from this dead end."

It got quiet... the minds were searching through it.. yes.. all the knowledge they could save was there but it was apparent even the khara was missing pages of the proteus tome essentially the prime artifact itself had the root he spoke of.. yes.. it was three parts.. the book of the future and of the past Science and history but the third part wasn't really a philosophy as it was ..what was believed to be the source of all things.

"I have crossed over and finished the path of life. It is part of the spine... it resides within me ... without it.. I would still be a revenant.. a shadow here.. I will freely give it to see you go beyond hatred..to go beyond the dark paths the old guardians offer.. I only humble ask if you can return it.. when the key is found.. I have learned to love life... and now you will too."

No words were spoken what was given freely.. changed everything . Khara died... and a new identity was gestating..

A new Breed was born..
