I don't consider it OORP at all, it's the lack of |PRIME's RP that lead to this all they had to do was file a request but because they were too lazy to go and tell the docking administrator not to let us dock they left themselves open to getting spied upon.
Also they're really incompetent... they're toasters with wires attached to a fan in case their processor overheats.
"Lack of Prime's Roleplay?" Not speaking from an Auxesian perspective, just mine.
Sure, Prime hasn't done a vast amount of forum work lately (which will soon change), but if you look into what official AI has done over the last four years you'll find an extraordinary amount of RP depth.
This is the equivilent of docking on Dur Shurrikan because you have an IFF bug, and buying large quantities of liquid cardamine. No.
Gammu technology is completely incompatible with human technology without the consent of a Gammuian intelligence. They're only compatible one way. Consider how difficult it is for Humans to make Human/Nomad hybrid technology compared to the relative ease/effectiveness of Nomad-induced Human/Nomad hybrids - the same applies to Gammu for very solid InRp and Oorp reasons, main one is to make AI tech something rare and unique to people involved with the roleplay for it.
We've had this sort of thing in the past when Gammu displayed a Zoner IFF on the docking ring, whilst still being nominally the AI planet, selling AI ships and AI IDs. Various groups of Zoners attempted to claim the planet as their own and started blowing up AI ships until they adopted pseudo-subservience.
The AI docking ring is neutral to most because Gammuians have considerable freedom of personal affiliation and have for years. Docking, buying, and roleplaying with a faction asset in violation of OFL lore norms is a bit of a sour move, since it relies on the IFF system, which, whilst it exists INRP, its regulation occurs through the OORP request and sanction system. The current faction leader can't be active all the time.
Remember, the Gammuians are a -species-, not just a unified faction. It would be readily possible for multiple AI factions to exist at once with significantly different roleplay. Compare Vagrants and K'hara.
As for the AIs being "stupid toasters", this is an attitude that effectively dictates somebody else's lore to them. Please don't. They're a cojoined network of quantum polymorphic alien intelligences inhabiting the Gammuian intranet. They are sentient, they are self-aware. If somebody went around saying nomads are flying space calamari and the commune are a bunch of tentacle fetishists, wouldn't you be slightly indignant? Relax, calm down, and read the lores of others.
