- First of all: Being good to each other. Not only to other players, but also devs, admins, moderators and especially newcomers. You have a punchline in your mind against someone who has another opinion than you? Instead of profiling yourself with it, just leave it where it is or yell it at the monitor. The less toxicity we have ingame, on forum, in Skype or Discord, the better it is. And everyone has to start with themselves about that. Don't be a dick for the sake of being a dick! Be a dick when your wife needs one.
- Minding your own business: You see some problems with the community? Before you make a thread about it, think about it. What kind of answers to you expect? What do you wish, what do you see coming and how can you get both of it come close together. Being polite when stating things rarely causes problems. Not doing it does. And that is your own fault then. Yes, it is the internet, you're protected by some sort of anonymity and by being physically untouchable. That doesn't mean you don't need to show any foundation of respect towards other people. That is how communities work.
Then again, is your problem really a problem? Is it worth making a drama about it? Is it worth to have the typical crews involved on the forum, knowing they will comment it anyway without thinking about it?
- Actually being ingame: The problem with veterans is that they know the mechanics behind stuff, and they only log when certain conditions are met, if at all. Before starting drama, just log, give yourself a few goals, try to partake and help other people reaching their goals. There is other stuff to worry about than what the admins do, who technically has the most power or whether the Lane Hackers still refuse to play along with the Feedback Thread requirements or not. Being actually ingame is something that goes for everyone, no matter the color of the name.
- Consider a donation for the server: You're concerned about the server and if it will stay alive? Let's be honest, most of us are adults and can afford a little contribution if it is really needed. We play here for months and years. I have four digits of ingame online-time, and I'm here for one year only. Some might have five digits.
- Direct approach: Problem with someone? Instead of jumping to the next Feedback thread to cause havoc like politicians can only dream of, approach people directly, sort things out. If they refuse to listen to you, add that to the feedback thread. That's what they are there for.
- Reports: Yeah, we all know we are to report people that don't play along the rules. Approach people directly first. If they lolwut you, go for a report. Take a few minutes off and think about if you really want to have the admins deal with a person who wrote two lines in local, who wrote one time only one engagement line, who did something wrong regarding their ID or whatever. If you see malicious intent in it, go for a report. If it is something minor, just contact the person, talk stuff out, make things better for next time.
Admins sacrifice their spare time for our causes. And there is a huge list of things to be done. It's our job do ensure they get things done, so don't spam them with kindergarten stuff. Or you might get treated like in a kindergarten.
- Trust: Trust that others can deal with issues you're not involved with. If you think people need help, don't force your help onto them. They will approach others if needed. It happened in the past often enough. Don't ignore that.
