With the decision for a surprise raid into New Tokyo, we gathered up under the command of our Taisho in the vicinity of Nagasaki. Our group consisted of Kaibyo-4, Kaibyo-5, IKS-Akagi and IKS-Kaga, and we quickly took the direct route onto our target system.
However, we met with no resistance, and could only get the scanning of a few interesting ships before intel reported a force of Gallic vessels passing through the Taus and into Bretonia. In order to help the defensive efforts of our Bretonian allies, we cut our planned raid short and set our route to Bretonia.
Apparently, before we could get there, the Gallic force of two battleships, a fighter and a bomber snuck into New London and engaged a wing of Libertonian bombers and fighters. Once we were in the range of engagement, they had wiped out all but one fighter of the Libertonian wing, so in order to protect the remaining vessel and prevent our opposition from doing further damage, we immediately jumped in.
First the battleship RNS-Conquerant, which was already heavily damaged by the Libertonian bombers, was destroyed. The second battleship called RNS-Illustre followed soon after, having no defense against our overwhelming firepower. Their fighter quickly left the scene, leaving their bomber to the mercy of the remaining Libertonian fighter, who made a quick work of it.
We congratulated the Libertonian fighter and wished quick recovery for their injured pilots before heading back.
