Well, there's no resistance in space really other than line of sight... anything that travels at the speed of light (aka light and some types of radiation) could be used to convey messages, but across any significant distance there would still be delays.
and Xing, it looks better but the engine is still way out of place, it looks too smooth and too... plain, I guess. I'd say scrap that back half altogether and attach the liberty dreadnaught engine to it.
