The ones on the last render look like engine pods or something. Since the ship is constructed with a defined vertical axis (There's a definate up and down) the pods slender structure looks odd.
Hanger pods on such a ship would look 'larger' if they were wider than they were tall. It's just how we perceive the axis etc. A tall hanger bay may have plenty of space and many floors but still looks smaller than a wide but low hanger bay.
