Subject: Revelations
I've been having a hard time getting adjusted to this new body. The process Erzie used was one of a kind, never done before - creating a human body, installing a interface for AI into it, and essentially making the AI the consciousness of the body, at the cost of the brain being that of a barely capable person. It's mainly done this way to, and I'm quoting the manual for these bodies here..
"These experimental bodies in a unmodified, fully human state, when implemented with the hardware to operate it, could result in "ghost in the shell" syndrome, where the brain molds into that of the AI's conciousness. The side effects of this are unknown but possibly dangerous, as it could result in possible co-dependency on AIs that use neural networks that replicate a actual human brain. As such, parts of the Brain have been removed, but retain total control and as much response from the body as possible."
Since I have a brain in this head of mine now, It surprises me and others that I've been able to hear the Nomads. At first, it was a garbled-ass mess, but slowly it became more clear. I was shocked at first. Everyone said that since AI were not biological and had no "brain", in the natural sense, they could not receive nomad telepathic messages. Honya, for one reason or another, cannot decode them. I don't get why I can. Maybe it's part of a defect. I'll have to ask Dr. Erzie when I get the chance.
Their language is.. interesting. They never speak in the first person, don't make complete sentences when they speak, usually saying, for instance, "ours purge yours metal-skins" or some jazz like that. Sometimes I feel things when they send these messages. I'm really starting to want to humor Hanamura on going back to Kusari as that "idol girl" persona she had set up, as the recent events make me wonder more about this body and more importantly, myself. To have my brain comprehend Nomads is one thing. For my QPU to comprehend what the brain is telling me, something that is outside of its' planned scope, is a whole other goddamn ballpark that makes me both curious and nervous, if that one experience with that freelancer who was brainwashed by the nomads was anything to go by. I worry that the Nomads might use me to get close to Hanamura and possibly kill her. She's a sizable thorn in their side, since trying to focus people on the Nomads if anything makes them more at risk, especially since they're proving Hanamura right in the "I told you so, they're going to kill us all" department. They're probably attacking the Freeport to try and capture her. But then again, that's just my cores running free for a second, The nomads have always been attacking 11 in one way or another, Hanamura is probably just another reason to attack it, along with them wanting to retake Delta for themselves.
To be honest, Nommies, that crap ain't gonna happen, mainly because everyone in delta is out to kick everyone else's butt for the sake of gaining ground, and you guys dropping in just turns it into a Mexican standoff-turn war of attrition... Depending on if the captains of said vessels are competent or not that day.
I'm still new to flying vessels, As I've mainly had Honya or Hanamura handle the maneuvering beforehand. I might ask Seline or Mark for training on how to handle this bomber. It doesn't pack much of a punch against fighters, but It's a bomber, so that's to be expected. Other than that it packs more hardware than Konpaku in the heavy-duty department. Dual Rocketpods, Dual Torps, and a Cruise Disruptor. There are four forward gun pylons which I've split between NNEMP and Plasma cannons. Powerplant is surprisingly hefty, It's able to handle everything I throw at it, Unlike that damn Hellhound of Hanamura's. That thing went up in flames the other day at Moor 3. It was only a matter of time that it did, the wiring in the damn thing was terrible, And it probably set itself on fire just because it existed. Just goes to show organizations like the Liberty Rogues shouldn't have capitals, not because they're a terror to civilized society, but because the brain-dead dolts who made them wouldn't know a Fuel line from the Control rod in the Reactor Room, and probably would make a FCS AI that couldn't hit the broadside of a freaking Marduk!
Either way I'm going to rest a little. Hanamura said she's going to try writing a letter to Marisa sometime. Dunno why, chances are she'll be away for a while longer. She talks too much about her. Ooh, Marisa this, Kita that.. God above, Hanamura, you're sounding like you're obsessed. I love her like family too, but you shouldn't talk about her every day. I do wonder where she went, though, and I do hope she's safe. As.. well, apathetic that I sound at times, I do care a lot about my friends. It's just my personality, I guess.
