Oh and, just one more note, I've bought my current computer almost two years ago, for, when it's calculated over, a 1000$, and all PC games still work on a 1680x1050 resolution and high or maximum detail.

Things are much more favorable regarding computer longevity than they were before. It stays "modern" way longer.
