Log Entry 2: 825, 31st January

Entry Log 2. I’ve came back from my standard routine. A clean-sweep around Texas and New York. Little to no activity. Several merchants here and there stating the traffic was clean, except for an Outcast gunboat roaming around Pennsylvania. I called dispatch but they were most likely busy with the GRN efforts in Cali.

I’ve got a message from Amanda and my parents. They are making every preparation to move in the next week over Manhattan. It’s funny that Amanda always hated the capitol. Said that, as shiny as it looks, as filled with dirt it surely is. Bigger cities, bigger problems. To a certain perspective she is right. I’ve got a friend over LPI. You always hear about some gun shootings in the lower levels, suicide threats, radical protesters that can turn violent at times. Manhattan is a problem on another level.

On my last log, I mentioned Battlegroup Harmony. Well, digging into their details and finding the head news during that period, there were indeed some interesting implications with their group. It was allegedly declared that the Battlegroup is being accused of high-treason, making a general claim like “putting the integrity of the Liberty House at risk”. Coincidently, there was a shift in several ranks over LN and LSF around that date.

According to the files and the Navy/LSF’s promotions, several individuals were taken to Alaska for some high-security operations to be conducted. That was prior for the Harmony to be taken into custody by the Navy. Now, what the datafiles from miss Knight state, was that vessel with its assets, were taken to the Juneau Shipyard for interrogation.

Their capture was resulted from the disobeying of several strange orders that were given by command. That counts as, shooting certain trade ships that had no particular connections at all, destroy civilian liners even.. overtake several key civilian positions. Perhaps the Navy was paranoid with the Rheinlanders over the borders… but innocent civilians? There is a note in the file which states that the respective chain of command in that period was influenced by the external threat known as the Nomads.

That is strange. It was known that they were extinguished from the Houses, decades ago. One thing is sure, I will need to go further into this. I need to find a way to reach some more critical data, regarding that period… and who knows what I might find about it now. I need to be careful.

I also met the Harmony myself. An interesting ship with unique pieces of hardware as I managed to scan it as much as I could. The conversation was alright, I wanted to contact miss Knight but, someone else was aboard their flagship. I’ll try another time. I promised I’ll contact them further if I find anything useful.
