Log Entry 4: 825, 8th February

Was a tight day yesterday. I got my ship crippled to dust, thank god for the Universal Hazard Ejection system that is a standard in all the ships nowadays. Yeah… I got a beating up with the Legion boys. Well, I didn’t wanted entirely to fight it. I tried to do it at peace, but the god damn Admiral showed up. If it was an ensign or someone lower, I could’ve keep them at bay. I had it..

You know what’s funny? Is that if you try push the Legion harder, they are just getting more radical and yelling at you to do something, so they have a justification for their action. Why? Because that’s the labels they put on us. Not like we don’t have the labels on them too. I cannot say I have positive feelings towards them, but ever since I saw something in their behavior/pattern of their actions, I tried to change the attitude. They are still hotheaded and trying to impose the respect, fear whatsoever in their enemies. I passed through that, I know their charade every time and it’s obvious for what they believe against the Government and the Navy.

They tried to push me to fire against them. I did not. I refused, they had nothing else to do. Despite being their enemy, I knew they would not shoot. They were desperately yelling at me to either surrender or I will get shot. But they didn’t do it, not until they saw that I betrayed my word and called for reinforcements. To be honest, I didn’t expect for the help to arrive, but eventually, Admiral Reaser came. I did not call for reinforcements, they simply came because of the integrated hazard system. Then I had to do, what my duty told me to do. It will be harder for me to reach them and find more clues on my investigation.

I took a break then. I went to Earie and got the Blue Hawk. I missed that old Sunrider. I’m an easy shot with it but still… it’s gonna get me into places. I jumped into the ship and I said I’ll begin my thorough exploration and ask here and there for further information regarding, the rebellious groups that attack Liberty.. and especially what Nomad influence there existed… exists or might exist in Liberty space. I will coordinate with the 5th later if I will manage to reach them.

But first I took the liberty to get to Los Angeles and see my wife and parents. I was quite nervous flying around the system. The Legion was everywhere patrolling the system tightly. No sign of any GRN forces yet, but I’ve heard they are on approach. I haven’t been on good ol’ L.A. for more than half an year. I only visited Amanda from time to time, but on the Border Stations.

I went to our house in the Washington District. It was a surprise arrival. Amanda was in tears, like my mother. They were so happy to see me after all this time. I was too. But it was a brief period of time for me to stay. I had like 1 hour max before I had to return back to Norfolk and begin my patrol routine. Amanda started working on the local communication tower. Traffic monitoring, it’s what she wanted to do ever since I’ve met her. The pay is good and not so risky like mine, as I could reconsider my job too. So we will be there for when our kid will arrive. Yeah… she is pregnant.

I was also happy but concerned. My reaction was a mixed one. I was more worried about their fate with the tensions rising in California and in Liberty Sector. They had to be moved as quickly as possible to a safe harbor. The passenger transports have been all locked up for a while but I’ll see what I will manage. It was good to be home even for a brief moment. Its scary when you realize that all do and your life are just 3.. now 4 people. It’s frightening.

I’ve took my flight back to Norfolk. I’ll begin my schedule there. I’ve heard my rusty wing has been restored. I’ll see what happens next. Before I log, I will upload the transcript I had with the Hellfire, just for record so I can keep everything up to date. It’s important in the investigation I am doing, to see their behavior and true reasons. The thought that the Commonwealth has access to the rumored Drake system is… concerning. I will see further.
