We have a significant number of new players who we are helping integrate into the server. New players, who have not been playing FL for over a decade, have problems with processes such as re-genning, proper use of ordinance, correct engagement distance etc.
This isn't a veteran-only I think circlejerk is probably the best you could get away with here, Tani - Justin (who are essential for this server's survival), judging people only by their own, hyper-elitist and oft inactive standards. But laughing at them is an option too (seriously Antonio, cut the elitism).
I don't hold the 6th fleet accountable for what occurred as much as the BHG, who do have the knowhow to properly account fights. It's unreasonable to necessarily expect fair fights in Texas, but otherwise it incentivises Unioners to log or do something else. Or, hell, might as well play Torpedos, which is a fun, no-stakes approach to Liberty where you don't have to worry about things such as what would the character do?
We try to do our force compositions based around RP sense - so a large group of snubs around a few cap monoliths. Not really for combat optimisation, but for things that work for official faction RP. It's tricky to do that in Liberty. We could try to combat-optimise everything, but then it'd just be a meta-chesspiece organisation fest where anti-snub gunboats get brought out for every snub swarm, or cruisers for carriers, or something else - and where would be the fun in that?
