Aya's absence

When I was 13, Aya was going to meet her future husband. I was excited for her.
She was going on some grand adventure into the unknown. Father picked him out for her and she was going to leave the house for the first time. I expected to be more bored than I actually was. I still had my books and now that sis was gone, I could even read during the day. Eventually I started to miss her though, even though she always saw herself as better than me.
I started trying to mimic the moves that I saw Shin and father making when practising with the swords. I used a stick as a substitute. When mom caught me off guard one day she scolded me and father lectured me on the position of a woman.
After a month Aya came back home and her arrogance had grown tenfold during her absence. I did not like her much anymore afterwards.
