Biography:

Origins are unknown. Baire appears to suffer from retrograde amnesia, and cannot recall any memories prior to the year of 810 A.S. The exact cause of the memory loss is also unknown, though it is believed to be caused by an implant within his brain (see next paragraph). Baire's earliest recalled memory is piloting a Stargazer shuttle for the first time, on the previously stated year. His displayed birth date was calculated through medical examinations. Baire was able to remember his first and last name, but his middle name was given to him by others.

Their middle nickname, "Octonary", refers to an anomaly caused by (presumably) the aforementioned chip within their brain, embedded in the cerebral cortex. This device gives Baire tremendously increased attention capabilities. The main effect caused by this is an impressive ability to multitask; on average, Baire is capable of performing up to eight simultaneous activities without fail (hence the nickname). Through this, Baire is currently operating his pirate train, the Red King, entirely on his own after some extensive modifications. However, it is also believed that the device malfunctioned in some way during the year 809 A.S., causing Baire to develop his amnesia. What may have caused the malfunction is unknown, as the phenomenon has yet to occur again.

Studies of the device cannot be achieved safely, as it is too far embedded in the brain to be surgically removed without causing fatality to Baire.

Personality wise, Baire is a fan of dry humor, and has a gentlemanly demeanor. He speaks with a heavy Bretonian dialect, similar to that of a Scot from Ancient Earth. Despite his enhancement, his intelligence is still sub-par; he can be quite an idiot (and a liability hazard, in some cases). None of this is with malicious intent, however, and it is presumed to be another side-effect of his chip.

Most of the time, he can be seen engaging in freelance trading on his signature transport, the Red King.
