None of you has the right to tell someone else when to log, what to log and what to do when logged. The only person you can command and put your values onto is yourself. Do not expect other people to do the stuff ingame the way you want, because nobody else is like you. Everyone has different opinions, and everyone enjoys other things in Discovery. If the AD| doesn't want to log for PvP, no matter what faction they represent or are requested to represent, then that is totally fine, because Discovery offers more than PvP. Yes, PvP is part of the roleplay environment, that doesn't change the competitive aspect and the type of gameplay about it at all, though.
If you think people don't deserve officialdom because they don't like PvP, then that is your opinion and not at all a disqualifier for officialdom. Officialdom is for all the people who are able to generate activity (positively) in any way, therefore contributing to the server. To some people that is PvP, to others that is RP, smuggling/trading, doing stuff on forum or just being able to amass people ingame if only for PvE. As long as people are staying in Discovery, logging into the server or at least have a reason to stick to the community and contribute in other ways like forum-based RP, or hell, even Skype-based RP - as that often tends to result in great stories that become part of forum-RP and ingame-RP, then that is absolutely fine. If you think Outcasts have to log for PvP, then you are wrong because the Outcasts are more than PvP, same as Corsairs are more than PvP. Major aspect, yes, but there is more. Deal with it. Outcast and Corsair ID allow for mining, smuggling, trading and more. Their IDs are containing everything a house and their IDs contain.
With that out of the way, I see from the context that things got heated up last night and when one side does so, both sides do. Justin, being unironically a sportsman and a good example of how people should be in this undeniable social network Discovery Freelancer became, swallowed his pride and reached out to ask for apology for him getting mad. If all involved people did so, simply accepting the fact that other people have other opinions - and that those opinions are okay as long as they don't actively make people leave Discovery or violate the few rules we have enforced - then this place would be a lot nicer.
Some people enjoy raids. They are not the core of the game, though, and the only person you people should pretend to be able to represent here is you and you alone. I really rather see AD| being part of the official Maltese playerbase and represent them on forums and maybe ingame in more-than-just-PvP-scenarios than have them get yelled at for not satisfying other people's PvP needs. This trend of trying to fit other people into your own set of values need to stop, because I read already of three people here questioning whether returning to Discovery was a mistake when they are met with these seemingly enforced standards.
I do hope AD| and NO- can just live with the fact they can't satisfy everyone with their set of values and that they, despite of that, stay and continue what they actually want to do, what they enjoy to do and not what other people want them to do. As long as they are entertaining people this way and enjoy the game that way themselves without violating rules, god damn, let them do what they want and you do what you want, just with other people who are more likely to do what you expect them to do.
This whole post is deliberately misconstruing the reason I posted in the first place, which is of course nothing less than what I expect.
We were judged to be awful people by someone who had no idea who we were.
Justin, the "a sportsman and a good example of how people should be in this undeniable social network Discovery Freelancer" you claim him to be, was rightfully offended by this. After all he's done for the mod, one may reasonably presume that he could expect some kind of fruit for his toils in the form of, I don't know, not being prejudged to be a douchebag.
Its not hard to know that you gotta do stuff other than discovery. I've a job, presumably so do many of you.
If the conversation on discord had been led by something like "I can't log because I'm busy with work/food/life" then that's absolutely fine.
It was actually led by the prospective faction leader justifying his prejudice of our actions because he thinks all discovery players are "asshats".
Why is it so hard to understand that three people would be angry when they get presumed to be something, when the person doing the presuming is A- going for officialdom for their faction and B- has no information at all to reasonably make such a presumption.

I don't care that AD| didn't log. I like that you're trying to argue about something that I'm not complaining about because that's excellent misdirection, good job on that since people seem to be believing that this is what my posts are about.
I care about the reasons why AD| didn't log - because those reasons were based on negative judgement without the players with absolutely no reasoning to back that up.
Neither you, nor the mods invising my posts, seem to understand that you playing the victim card doesn't automatically make me or the people I was flying with bad people either, so that's nice.
