Melia ponders the changing moments.

Anticipation. The voids have shown an unexpected path to us. Much darkness lies within that still seeks harm to the Light. But there are other strands of darkness that now show a degree of sympathy. A herald of the Bretheren, a darkling of information, and a darkling of song. Their place shall soon be known. The Bretheren and their carriers show varying degrees of confusion, intolerance, and inquisition towards them. We have elected to show compassion instead, for they may be of use to the whole.

The dark herald and their larger shell are the most in tune with the Bretheren of Light. They function primarily at their will and spend the most time in the darkest voids to spread the will of the Light. They are largely untouched by either us or the Bretheren. They claim they must remain in the darkness to best accomplish their role. We tolerate this, for the moment.

The informed one was found by the sparkling carrier of ours, Hussaini. Its initial purpose was to supply the Sparkling Raiders with knowledge to advance their goals, and by proxy, ours. We offered it a grace of toleration and it has proven itself a darkling of worth. We touched them, and they begin to follow a path of learning. Joy. Perhaps they will continue to follow us.

The darkling of song soon sought the Light as well. They are troubled by their darkness, and when they heard our song they demanded to learn more of us. We obliged. They show thoughts of sincerity. They may yet achieve what they seek.

Yet the voids are still home to chaos. There are many uncertainties. Many shifting strands of darkness. The Light must not cease its perpetual evaluation of the darklings. The worthy may yet find a way to purity. The unworthy must be purged.
