Now that they're seemingly out of the picture, your organization seems to be the closest thing to a successor. If this Voncloud individual is as unstable and incapable as you claim, then I'm sure you won't have particular difficulties keeping the population of the Freeport pointed in your direction, rather than his.

As for your request to the Republic of Liberty, it appears it's still caught in bureaucracy and red tape. If it stalls for much longer, or we receive a response in the negative, there may be a need to pursue legal alternatives to complete your objectives.
