In a way, yes.
However, unlike the Aoi Iseijin, these "Infected" characters care about one thing and one thing only:
A PEACEFUL SOLUTION TO THE NOMAD PROBLEM.
They don't want to become soldiers in an eternal war that has been going on for so long, nobody remembers who really started it.
They want to avoid another war like the one that started the entire saga back in the events of Starlancer, Freelancer's prequel.
They remember what happened to Earth. They remember what happened to cause the evacuation from their homes.
They remember the war between the Alliance and the Coalition, which reeks of what will happen if the conflict (edited because the Nomad War is over) between Nomads and Humans continues.
And they do not want that to happen again.
"Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it."
It's also a way for Nomads to be Infected, but also be in the different House armed forces or corporations, like you saw in the base game.
And it may take years upon years, but like people IRL are slowly learning not to be racist, sexist, or all the other bad things that ends with the suffix "ist", the Peacekeeper Nomads want to end the hatred of Nomads.
Or at least, the small subset of peaceful ones that are currently in the galaxy at present.
To end the specific Anti-Nomad hatred, because while we may all be Nomads, some of us may be friendly.
I trust nobody here wants to be an in-game... how to put this...
"Extraterrestrial racist"?
Just like not all Mexicans are murderers and criminals IRL, not all Nomads are cold-blooded killers in Discovery.
