After a brief stint on the surface, I returned to duty today and returned to space to greet an incoming BMF convoy in Manchester. This was the second time they'd attempted to bring in two transports full with BAF standard Marines to bolster the Resistance HQ and man the additional vehicles we've been bringing in with them. The first attempt was intercpted by GRI bombers marked with \*/ as their preceding tag in their callsigns. I thought it was an ambush, so I attacked them rather than dilly dally. So did one of the BMF escorts, which bought the transports time to get away. Today they returned, and me and my crew in the Stratocaster unloaded 10,000 units of Marines to the surface base. We brought out approximiately 5000 refugees again in return, which should now be bound for Free Bretonia or Rheinland.
Also, after a brief interrogation I've cleared Drake Newport again and his security access and Tag use has been restored. His ships are clear to fly again. That's partially because some secret agent type called 'Skylark' popped in to Leeds just as our BMF boys were outbound, demanding that he be released, and that its terribly imperative. He also mentioned some nuclear explosive Newport has on one of his ships that's supposed to be bound for Liberty, some important message he was trusted with. its all news to me, but I've returned to the surface to clear him. Although he did pass on some information, all of it can be used to lure the enemy out, and we'll change anything else necessary. From now on, if he has to, he'll pass on false information to the occupation forces in order to gather intelligence for our side. When he returns, I hope to have us resume regular freighter runs. In the meantime, Captain Newport's mission is to deliver his explosive cargo before its too late. If I don't have confirmation he's left the surface with it within 8 hours, I'll auto launch any of his vessels to space.
