Receiving request of monsieur Giroux, the chief managers entrusted me to find the supplied or "Corvo" in Omicrons. I managed to make my way to Omicron Delta where I met a pilot of a zoner organisation "Genesis Research Group". Apparently, a research enterprise of some sort. The pilot in question confirmed that his organisation constructs "Corvos" and we may reach to them to that end. The pilot also mentioned a "graveyard" in the neighbouring system which I proceeded to check out. There indeed appeared to be many disabled ships. Apparently, there was a big battle there. Maybe, people with the access to military databases know it. I made the 3D scans of the ships for further analysis of our engineers. While internal equipment and parameters are obviously off the limit due to the limitations of the scanning and the damaged nature of the hulls, the shape of the ships can provide insight into Sirius shipbuilding.
[30.12.2019 13:14:33] GRG|Toga: ?:Hello there.
[30.12.2019 13:14:38] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Bonsoir
[30.12.2019 13:14:48] GRG|Toga: ?:Gaul here?
[30.12.2019 13:14:57] GRG|Toga: ?:That's weird.
[30.12.2019 13:15:03] GRG|Toga: ?:What's the occasion?
[30.12.2019 13:15:05] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Yes, business brings people to remote places. If paid
[30.12.2019 13:15:17] GRG|Toga: ?:Business you say eh?
[30.12.2019 13:15:22] GRG|Toga: ?:What business?
[30.12.2019 13:15:37] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: I am on a task from the corporate tops. Need to find a ship sold in the Omicrons
[30.12.2019 13:15:47] GRG|Toga: ?:Specify it.
[30.12.2019 13:16:02] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: It is open-design, I think quite ubiqutous one. "Corvo" researcher
[30.12.2019 13:16:25] GRG|Toga: ?:The Corvo yes. One of the finest Zoner technology.
[30.12.2019 13:16:35] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: We have one from the past and it performed well during the recent task. So we would like to procure one or two more
[30.12.2019 13:16:42] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Oh, you happen to know aobut it?
[30.12.2019 13:16:55] GRG|Toga: ?:We build them.
[30.12.2019 13:17:10] GRG|Toga: ?:Not oue design, but we can build them.
[30.12.2019 13:17:16] GRG|Toga: //our*
[30.12.2019 13:17:18] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Even so. Then it is a luck I bumped into you now
[30.12.2019 13:17:34] GRG|Toga: ?:It is indeed.
[30.12.2019 13:17:49] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Then if you are interested, our organisation would like to procure two of those vessels. You can be pain in Sirius Credits
[30.12.2019 13:17:52] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Or Gallic Franks
[30.12.2019 13:17:58] GRG|Toga: ?:Uh, I skipped presentations.
[30.12.2019 13:18:14] GRG|Toga: ?:I'm a pilot of the Genesis Research Group.
[30.12.2019 13:18:42] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Ah yes, where are my Gallic courtesies! Je suis Emile Lavoisier, a scout for Montluc Advanced Engineering
[30.12.2019 13:19:02] GRG|Toga: ?:A research organisation that seeks to improve ourselves to fight foreign threats, like Nomads.
[30.12.2019 13:19:08] GRG|Toga: ?:A pleasure meeting you.
[30.12.2019 13:19:22] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Pleasure to meet you, pilot of Genesis Research Group. Scientists, heh? Makes sense in this remote place
[30.12.2019 13:19:48] GRG|Toga: ?:However, I'm not the guy to decide what to do with the Corvos, I just transport stuff.
[30.12.2019 13:19:49] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: You must be a brave one - these "nomads" give me chills. We don't know much about them in Gallia
[30.12.2019 13:19:55] Death: DONOHARM was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[30.12.2019 13:20:02] GRG|Toga: ?:Oh we're used to them.
[30.12.2019 13:20:18] GRG|Toga: ?:After decades in this remote sector, you get used.
[30.12.2019 13:20:40] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Good to know people can actually get used to aliens. We lived for over 7 centuries without knowing of extraterrestrial life
[30.12.2019 13:20:53] GRG|Toga: ?:It's not the best place to be in, but it's better than the Houses.
[30.12.2019 13:20:59] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: But, as we have heard, same was for Sirius until 26 years ago
[30.12.2019 13:21:17] GRG|Toga: ?:We've been through full scale wars with them.
[30.12.2019 13:21:30] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Well, if you are not responsible for their construction, perhaps you can kindly share the credentials of the person in question
[30.12.2019 13:21:38] GRG|Toga: ?:You can see what they have done...in a nearby system.
[30.12.2019 13:22:03] Death: Ger_Fon_Georg was put out of action by SCEC|CPW-Peremoga (Gun).
[30.12.2019 13:22:11] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Oh really? Is that not dangerous?
[30.12.2019 13:22:26] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Well, I am a scout. Perhaps I should do my job
[30.12.2019 13:22:34] GRG|Toga: ?:Anyway, you can contact the Genesis Board, the memebers of it will deal with it.
[30.12.2019 13:22:58] GRG|Toga: ?:Well the place is a graveyard.
[30.12.2019 13:23:09] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: You have my gratitude, monsier. I will relay this information to my chief
[30.12.2019 13:23:20] GRG|Toga: ?:I can show it to you, but it's hard to get used to that massacre.
[30.12.2019 13:23:29] Death: Grenadier was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[30.12.2019 13:23:30] GRG|Toga: ?:If you think Leeds was bad...
[30.12.2019 13:23:50] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Would be obliged. If there was a battle, there are ships. And ship remains are my primary responsibility
[30.12.2019 13:24:07] GRG|Toga: ?:Well all of them are most scrap.
[30.12.2019 13:24:26] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: I don't know if those can be analysed. I just do 3D scns
[30.12.2019 13:24:29] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: //scans*
[30.12.2019 13:24:47] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: The engineers back home will decide if that is of use
[30.12.2019 13:25:00] GRG|Toga: ?:Oh, however, fair warning.
[30.12.2019 13:25:18] GRG|Toga: ?:The Order doesn't like people going there too much.
[30.12.2019 13:25:30] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Order?
[30.12.2019 13:25:50] GRG|Toga: ?:An organsation that is stationed in the Omicrons.
[30.12.2019 13:26:12] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Hmmm. There are many. I hope not petty criminals like the Outcasts
[30.12.2019 13:26:15] GRG|Toga: ?:Not even here, powerdisplay is forgotten.
[30.12.2019 13:26:43] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: At any rate, until a overt warning by the Order is made - I think it is ok
[30.12.2019 13:26:55] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: and I will be discreet. Not that I violate anything
[30.12.2019 13:27:06] GRG|Toga: ?:Oh well, I need to get back to work.
[30.12.2019 13:27:11] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: So, where is that system?
[30.12.2019 13:27:20] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: You can point me and I will be on my way, messier
[30.12.2019 13:27:21] GRG|Toga: ?:We're uploading the data.
[30.12.2019 13:27:33] GRG|Toga: *Transmitting data*
[30.12.2019 13:27:47] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Got it. Merci, monsier. So long. Expect the message from us soon
[30.12.2019 13:27:58] GRG|Toga: ?:A pleasure meeting you.
There, in the Omicrons, I also witnessed something resembling trade lanes but clearly non-human in design. They led to what appeared as some structure, perhaps, a jump gate. The lanes being inactive and my vessel being only a small scouting ship, I deemed it necessary to withdraw.
After my mission in the Omicrons was completed, I ventured back into Gallia through Omegas and Bretonia. In Omega 49 system, now claimed by Bretonians as Exeter (and they were blaming us for expansion, hypocrites) I witnessed a fight between the Bretonian Armed Forces and what appears to be the navy of the communists, the Coalition. Bretonians landed a decisive victory without losing any ships. Battle-hardened by the Royal Fleet of Gallia, no less. I was observing the combat from afar and scanning the vessels for possible insights of any sorts. One particular case puzzled me - a weapon used by a Bretonian Intelligence ship that showed signatures of non-human origin, similar to what I picked up from strange creatures in the Omicrons. This information might prove useful for the Marine Nationale and the Enclave Forces.
After the combat I made an interesting acquaintance: a Gaul, ex-counsillard, who joined the ranks of the communists and later on sided with Bretonians in what appears to be as a coup in the Coalition. Since that monsieur and his associates were fighting for Bretonians, I assume they might be similar to privateers that fought the Royal Navy in the Hebrides during the war. If such, perhaps we can sell them ships. Or not, they are still communists after all. The logs of the talk are provided below.
[30.12.2019 14:13:34] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Who are the MAE, anyway?"
[30.12.2019 14:13:54] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: A passerby attracted by the flashlights
[30.12.2019 14:14:07] [CP]Lynx: DG: "And a connational of mine, no less."
[30.12.2019 14:14:10] [CP]Appropriator: Selim: Silhouette looks Gallic.
[30.12.2019 14:14:15] BAF|A-HMS-Westminster: CIC: All ships, this is Battleship Westminster, escort Fascinating to the vicinity of Battleship Stirling, fighters who want to
[30.12.2019 14:14:18] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Oui, definetly is."
[30.12.2019 14:14:22] BAF|A-HMS-Westminster: stay or continue their patrol, do as you want.
[30.12.2019 14:14:43] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Aw, messiur is a Gaul too? Magnifique
[30.12.2019 14:14:45] BAF|HMS-Fascinating: Elizabeth: Keep a cordon around the Fascinating.
[30.12.2019 14:14:53] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Mhm. Former Conseillard."
[30.12.2019 14:15:00] BAF|HMS-Fascinating: Elizabeth: I must stay through this. I'll give her some basic repairs when it's over.
[30.12.2019 14:15:03] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Ah, republicans
[30.12.2019 14:15:27] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Well, I am civilian and don't care much for that division. But Gallia is a Confederation now
[30.12.2019 14:15:36] [CP]Lynx: DG: "I know it."
[30.12.2019 14:15:59] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Trebien. Everyone needs to know what the mess it is there
[30.12.2019 14:16:34] [CP]Lynx: DG: "The mess, huh. I bet you work for those Enclave maniacs."
[30.12.2019 14:16:42] BAF|Lt.Keyes: Alrigh, now you won't get away with it!
[30.12.2019 14:16:54] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Anyone in rightful mind would tell you it is a mess
[30.12.2019 14:17:02] Sopwith.Camel: Alrighty, for Queen and Country!
[30.12.2019 14:17:13] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Regardless of favouritism over royalists or republicans
[30.12.2019 14:17:20] Death: EOS|-Rasoir was put out of action by X-1|Aoi (Gun).
[30.12.2019 14:17:30] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: three systems given over to Unione Corse with their mafia-Minarchy
[30.12.2019 14:17:35] [CP]Appropriator: Selim: Let's get this over with.
[30.12.2019 14:17:38] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Who wouldn't call it a mess
[30.12.2019 14:17:38] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Objectively, yes - it is a mess as of now, but it'll need time to assess."
[30.12.2019 14:17:50] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Don't be that pessimistic."
[30.12.2019 14:18:11] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: The discontent is already huge, and the state is only in its nascending state
[30.12.2019 14:18:22] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: It will likely fall apart if no strong government emerges
[30.12.2019 14:18:30] [CP]Lynx: DG: "It will emerge, mark my words."
[30.12.2019 14:18:30] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Bah, we even don't know who is our government
[30.12.2019 14:18:31] BAF|A-HMS-Westminster: CIC: Fascinating, ready to move out? Over.
[30.12.2019 14:18:54] BAF|HMS-Fascinating: Elizabeth: We are moving out when I say.
[30.12.2019 14:19:05] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: I doubt so. But oh well, I am an emloyee of a corporation. It is not for me to decide politics
[30.12.2019 14:19:17] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: The Baron will take care of us at least, I hope
[30.12.2019 14:19:23] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Mmm."
[30.12.2019 14:19:35] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: And what would a messier like you be doing so far from home?
[30.12.2019 14:19:46] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Long story."
[30.12.2019 14:19:56] BAF|HMS-Fascinating: It's monsieur
[30.12.2019 14:20:58] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Fought in the Council reserves, was captured and imprisoned on Cordes."
[30.12.2019 14:21:02] [CP]Appropriator: Selim: That's all finished.
[30.12.2019 14:21:20] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Managed to escape with aid from inmates, holed up in Sirius."
[30.12.2019 14:21:30] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Ended joining those we fought just today."
[30.12.2019 14:21:56] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Then coups and counter-coups within the SCRA brought me here."
[30.12.2019 14:22:12] [CP]Lynx: DG: "My story in a nutshell."
[30.12.2019 14:22:15] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Strange choice, but the destiny guided you, I guess
[30.12.2019 14:22:34] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: So, it appears, there is a coup among the lefties?
[30.12.2019 14:22:41] BAF|A-HMS-Westminster: CIC: What is this?
[30.12.2019 14:22:47] [CP]Appropriator: Selim: Oh boy.
[30.12.2019 14:22:47] BAF|Cpt.Eva,Flameheart: Hello there.
[30.12.2019 14:22:49] BAF|A-HMS-Westminster: CIC: This is Westminster, cut your engines!
[30.12.2019 14:22:52] [CP]Lynx: DG: "The hell."
[30.12.2019 14:22:59] BAF|HMS-Fascinating: Elizabeth: Will someone remove this battlecruiser out of my sight!?
[30.12.2019 14:23:03] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: Seems there is another one
[30.12.2019 14:23:04] [CP]Lynx: DG: "Gotta go."
[30.12.2019 14:23:05] BAF|HMS-Fascinating: Elizabeth: What is it even doing here!?
[30.12.2019 14:23:08] BAF|A-HMS-Westminster: CIC: Of course, gunnery, fire!
[30.12.2019 14:26:43] MAE|Emile.Lavoisier: If you guys need ships for your revolution - give us a holler. We make and sell those
Following the interaction, I managed to make it safely back to Languedoc. It was a long trip and I guess, I deserve to take a paid leave. Take care, mes amies!
