here is the final version. - since the textures were in a .png format, i had to reformat them to .tga - that means they are upside down in HardCMP but appear correctly in FL ( as you can see )
the size is a little shorter than a kusari battleship and much flatter of course. but its wider than the liberty dreadnaught. increasing its length would have made the ship inconveniently wide ( since its very compact... it would have caused problems with tradelanes )
so the ship in that final version is at its minimum size - sort of. - on the picture above, you can see the size of a Falcata bomber ( used it as a default bomber size ) - and i compared the size of a Ravens Claw in milkshape with it. - the Ravens claw fits into the launch tubes conveniently, so the size works.
i have tested your ship in OpenSP:
- CM dropper works, but when you drop more than one, it can affect the ship. ( it collides with the backside and pushes it upwards )
- the CD works. it is located in the very nose of the ship and cannot fire backwards ( around a 120 frontal degrees arc )
- all weapon turrets fit onto the hull and fire into the directions they are supposed to fire... BUT...
the original carrier ( the current one ) was very generous with its fire arcs. - as a matter of fact, most of its turrets have a 360 degrees firearc. - on this one i have limited a few of them to a more logical arc. - it ll still have like 12 turrets being able to fire foreward but the right side cannot fire into the left arc anymore ( through the ship ) - other than that, firing with all available weapons worked well.
[ visible turrets are marked red on the image - some are not visible form this perspective, so i haven t marked them... but the original ship has 20 turret hardpoints ( 16 of them used ) - i added the exact same turrets at the most logical / similar places ]
- docking and undocking worked. the ship got stuck upon undocking, but not worse than any other ship. - it was no prob to free it from the stations tower.
- cruise speed worked ( but the engine effect must be changed to an impulse engine.
- docking with a tradelane worked
- docking with a jumpgate worked
slight little problems:
- the model is very big. - especially fighters are able to close up to it - and from very near, the skin looks a bit low detailed sometimes.
- the skin, as seen is shaded differently than the common liberty ships. - i had no osiris to compare it to - but it is rather black than silvery.
- the camera position is OK - but such a huge ship will be hard to fire with. ( like the juggernaut ) - a ship that is close but on the other side of the ship than the camera is nothing but a pixel. - a falcata bomber is barely bigger than a single window of this ship.
edit: to make flying a little easier, its turning point ( the axis it turns around ) is quite in the front of the ship instead of the middle. - that way it feels as if it is drifting when flying a circle - but it ll make getting into a lane easier ( it activates the lane quicker without having to enter the lane by almost half )
