- inRP section - Character Name: Imai Kimiko
Short Biography: When I was a young teen, I started to hang out a lot on the streets. I was born and raised on New Tokyo and I eventually got caught up with the wrong people. We spent our time drinking and smoking, as well as being involved in robberies, drug and alcohol consumption, and violence. I didn't see myself as being involved in the underworld of New Tokyo; We were just a group of friends getting into trouble, being chased by the police. I’d go to school in the day, act normal, then as soon as I was back out on the streets, I was a different person. I was intimidating.
In an attempt to help get my life back on track, my parents sent me to boot-camp in an attempt to steer me toward joining the military. I left my friends, and my school, to humor them. During this time, I earned my pilot's license, basic firearm handling, and basic field repairs. Despite the knowledge I was obtaining, I feel I do not need to say I was not happy. Despite my misery, I completed the training. Upon returning home, I made it known to my family I did not wish to be the one to enforce the corruption of the government and I did not wish to allow the culture of male domination to continue under my watch in Kusari. My family were devastated; labeling me a failure, a disgrace. I was upset at hearing this, I thought my family would support me in what I was wanting to do. I never expected they would turn on me as they did. In my hurry to leave after seeing my family turn their back on me, I took their ship - a Drone. I left.
Once I had left the safety of Planet New Tokyo, I had no plans. I had nowhere to go, and no friends in the vastness of space to call on. Upon checking the supplies on the ship, I knew I had a number of days to come up with a plan. As the supplies began to run low, and I began to welcome the thought of death, I happened upon a small squadron. After some time and a lengthy discussion, the woman explained what they were doing - they explained their cause. This resonated within me, I felt hope that there was something more for me in the emptiness of space. I felt drawn to help... Which brings me here now.
Reasons for joining inRP: My family turned their back on me & I do not trust the government - but I do trust you. I owe you my life, and I will fight for the cause until death decides otherwise.
