FROM: Rear Admiral Blake Wayne Van Leer TO: 46th| SUBJECT: Honor Fellow officers,
As you know today I have offered insurgent IN|G-INS-Iblis a one on one fight, and called off our six strong fleet even though we could have instantly shot the vessel down. [] 46th|LNS-Scarlet: 46th stand down. I will give this man a fight
Very soon this was abused by The Insurgents, who repeatedly cruised point blank on my vessel in a battleship, IN|H-INS-Enterprise and even joined with another battlecruiser |=DSS=|CV-"Alaska". All of which opened fire at once and disabled my vessel - I was lucky to even come out alive when our escape pods were retrieved. I am grateful they didn't shoot those in cold blood.
One thing I want to say - do not be discouraged by their behavior. The Insurgency no longer makes any sense and is running on fumes. The once proud pilots who kept calling us "corrupt" and pretended they have moral high ground now themselves must see the corruption in flying side by side with drug trafficking Outcasts and Rogues and other criminals that are terrorising the honest common people of Liberty.
They don't even pretend anymore they know what they are fighting for. [] 46th|LNS-Scarlet: Van Leer: why would you fly with The Insurgents anyways, it doesn't seem to make sense
[] IN|G-INS-Iblis: ?:Because I can.
It has already happened - Since Bering their numbers have dwindled so much that our Government more or less ignores them as a serious threat and sends combat ships to help our Allies on one side and expands into an Omicron system on the other instead.
More and more of them will return back to our side or lay down their weapons as they will realise there is no reason for them to support a movement that does even worse things they claimed to be fighting against.
All they need is a little nudge - I believe our Strike Force should offer their pilots the chance to surrender their vessels and themselves and rejoin our side and offer leniency (Of course pending legal due diligence from The Liberty Government's judicial branch). And no matter what their tactics may be, we should meet them with strength, force and vigilance, but a fair one at that - to remind them who the good guys really are and what they once stood for.
