i like it - simple as that. since i m mostly modelling, too and haven t payed a single thought ( a serious one ) on stats - i wouldn t care much about it.

if igiss makes up stats by the ships looks - it would truely be a very small and agile ship - but why not. - give it a VHF powerplant, a torp slot and a CD/Torp slot ( like the death scythe ) - that d make it a formidable light bomber for the LPI, even a next gen bomber. - VHF stats all the way ( or heavy ) - and being able to fire a CD AND a minirazor. - give it some flashy blue / red lights - and you have a great LPI light bomber, something the LPI has been looking for.

so whats all the fuss.

ahh, btw. xing... i gave your thuglethingy rheinland bomber an experiemental loadout.. ( while we re at it )

- 1 CD mount foreward, 1 torp CD mount foreward ( a 10 degrees arc )
- 1 CD mount backwards, 1 torp CD mount backwards ( a 30 degrees arc )
- energy to fire 2 supernovas at once ( used a transports powerplant )
- 2 lvl4 turrets
- 2 lvl9 guns with a 15 degrees foreward arc ( only like half the screen when you re in chase view )
- 2 lvl3 turrets

what you get is a bomber that can fire a well aimed SN on approach ( the refire of the SN must be rebalanced:laugh:) and upon passing, he can fire another SN backwards - IF he is not thrusting, cause if he is ... the momentum makes the SN nearly immobile

oh, and the secondary weapons make the whole ship rather helpless in against a fighter ( NPCs only in OpenSP ) i had to go to turret mode to track them ( gave the bomber the agility of a dromedary )

what i want to say is: there are ways to balance those ships without simply making them smaller or more agile or less - or whatever. if this little bomber is able to fire a razor as the strongest weapon + a CD, its a light bomber. - and thats fine.
