Character Name: Himura Azumi
Biography:Azumi was born on Planet Honshu in 803 A.S. Her family was in the lower working class, barely staying afloat. Due to the unstable times of the events of the Nomad incursion, the government was left to pick up the pieces. There was not much else significant in her childhood besides the typical toll such a patriarchal society took on young and old women alike.
After seeing all the hardships of her friends and family, she often blamed her government for failing to look after its people. These views, like in many other growing women were stoked by propaganda from groups such as the Golden Chrysanthemums. Azumi became more and more involved in the GCs broadcasts and calls to arms against an unfair government. When she was 16, she ran off with a group of girls to go join the fight like many others.
After their indoctrination into the GC, They were taught like any other recruits. Soon enough they became full members after their trial and when they were of age, became pilots. Azumi spent a couple years under the GC before she met a Naval Officer named Aika Ryo. Aika had her own destroyer and loyal crew, and was much more open than most naval men and women Azumi fought. This officer was seemingly looking for a way out, and Azumi offered a chance to break free of her oppressors.
After helping Aika escape from the KNF, they headed back to Azumis home on Ainu. As the two spent more and more time together, they fell in love. With their want to explore Sirius growing by the day, Azumi approached her superiors and asked if she could be granted permission to leave her sisters to go start a life where Aika wouldn't be in constant threat from the KNF. With days of discussion and terms for Azumi leaving, it was eventually approved with stipulations. Azumi was required to still anonymously report to the GC as eyes and ears outside of Kusari and on Kusari Naval movements. She gladly accepted the terms presented and the couple was soon on their way to freedom.
The two spent the next two years together before they would get married in a small wedding amongst a few friends of theirs they made along the way. They traveled aboard a Bustard that they renovated to be a permanent home for the next handful of years. It was outfitted for deep space exploration in an extremely hostile environment, yet remained named 'The Songbird.'
A few months after Azumi's 24th birthday, Aika was taken from her in the middle of the night. The Songbird was infiltrated by a team of unknown assailants as the vessel was bombarded and left for dead in the far reaches of the Tau 29. After Azumi and the remainder of her crew was rescued by some traders passing through, The Songbird had to be dismantled due to catastrophic damage it had sustained. With the proximity to Kusari in mind, Azumi was convinced that her wife was taken back by naval forces because of her desertion. All Azumi had left was her GC sisters on Ainu Depot. And it was time she payed them a visit as Kusari had once again wronged her and the one she loved. Soon enough she found her way into the arms of a Golden Chrysanthemum cell, who welcomed her fiery passion for vengeance with open arms.
Reasons for joining inRP: The Kusari Navy has been suspected of taking my wife, Aika Ryo, who disappeared suddenly a few weeks ago. With little left besides the ties to my old contacts on Ainu Depot.
