Transmission Recipient: ORDER OVERWATCH HC Subject: PATROL REPORT From: ENSIGN JASON VIGO Location: CAIRO STATION, OMICRON ZETA Priority Level: LOW Encryption Level: LOW
Greetings, Overwatch High Command.
Quite the eventful patrol...
I suppose I'll get right into the first altercation, which was with two Core vessels in Omicron Delta. One very heavy fighter, who went by "A. Walker", and a destroyer, callsign WV-Echo. I was with my usual wingmen, Lieutenant Christensen and Commander Bishop in the Freeport 11 no-fire zone when we spotted them. We were all piloting bombers. After a little "chat" with the Core, we left the no-fire zone and engaged.
I was the first of our squadron to take substantial damage, mostly at the hands of their VHF. Soon enough, my ship was near destruction. To even the odds, I decided to fly straight at the VHF whilst firing a Nova torpedo, taking him out (and myself in the process). It was a huge risk but I carried it out successfully, I seemed to have ejected at the right time and Lieutenant Christensen immediately tractored in my escape pod. From Christensen's cockpit, I watched them take down the remaining hostile.
We flew back to Dabadoru Station and I got myself a new Sekhmet. I'll sure miss the old one, some great battles were fought in it.
But it turns out it wouldn't be long before this new one got some action...
The three of us moved to Omicron Zeta to continue our patrol. We spotted another Core vessel, seems they were busy today. He was in a gunboat, (called Huai_Dan), and let's just say he didn't last too long.
Near the end of our patrol, we ran into a Corsair capital ship Taurus|CNS-Naxos, who pretty much had every type of Nomad remain imaginable in his hold. We followed him from Omicron Zeta to Omicron Delta. In Delta, we asked him to drop the remains and he was non-compliant (not much of a surprise there). He was eliminated.
