Description of report: Had a bit of a busy day, to put it mildly. Spent my morning scanning traders outside the Capitol with Ensign Brockhouse, then broke off to deal with some business on the surface – I hear she had some trouble after that.
Once I was back in the sky, I linked up with Lt. Commander Benson and the Vice. We attempted to escort an APM Bison to Hudson but ran into some of the rougher Xenos this side of the border. Seems like the trader managed to get away, but most of our wing was forced to eject near the Texas grid.
Shortly after our return to New York, we were forced into a response by an Outcast raider fleet. Rear Admiral Van Leer joined us on the LNS-Lemon (who named that one?), while the Lt. Commander and Vice attended to their respective capitals. While a Rogue destroyer showed up, we managed to destroy most of the fleet with the help of the LNS-Arkansas, and a rather flighty LSF officer. Unfortunately, the LNS-Wild Spirit and Anchorage were both put out of action due to a close exchange with light destroyers.
Recommendations: I’m not one of the career admirals or anything, but seems to me the next time we get so close to enemy Capitals, we’d better have something in store for them – preferably a couple dozen marines.
