High Command,

This is Gunnarsson, reporting the status of the Forty-Sixth Battlecruiser under my command, the North Dakota.

The North Dakota sustained heavy damages during the battle in Vespucci but we managed to limp our way back to Kansas in the aftermath. We are currently located somewhere along the edge of an asteroid field, I am afraid this is the furthest the ship can go without risking complete failure of the engine. Navigational systems are currently unserviceable and Auxiliary systems are in a critical state.

Somewhere in Kansas, Battlecruiser North Dakota

I have tasked our engineers onboard to begin works in attempting to restore the Auxiliary systems, but it seems that it will take awhile as we are not in the possession of the required resources. The North Dakota will have to remain stationary for the time being. Fortunately, the weapons and targeting systems still function as they should.

Hopefully with the help of the asteroids, the ship can remain undetected long enough until our engineers are able to do their best in getting the engine stabilized. Then, we will set out to find our way back to familiar space. Till then.
