Subject: Report - 07/02/829 | Standard Patrol and Insurgency Sighting
This is my first official report since joining the 46th. If there is anything I missed or need to include next time please let me know.
Upon my acceptance from the Fleet Admiral, I set out on a late-night patrol. I patrolled the lanes in New York, Texas, and Pennsylvania. While in Pennsylvania I ran into Lieutenant Jr Grade Bartlett, who I became acquainted with for the first time. The two of us went back to New York to patrol and caught the end of a dogfight between an Outcast and Bounty Hunter. The Bounty Hunter disabled the Outcast quickly and efficiently. Other than that, the system was quiet as I monitored the New York system for the next hour after Officer Bartlett went planetside.
This morning, I went on patrol in the New York system and became acquainted with both Rear Admiral Brown as well as Lieutenant Olson of the Savannah. Shortly after meeting, we received a message on the SOS channel that the Insurgency Dreadnought "Discovery" had been sighted near Norfolk Shipyard. I geared up my Defender and moved to Norfolk to monitor the situation.
The Discovery had positioned herself in the Lane between Norfolk and Chadwick station with the minefield to the sides, preventing flank attacks. Suddenly, a Cruiser, code-name Uppercut, accompanied by Gibraltar, commanded by Rear Admiral Brown, as well as LSF bomber Hussar arrived on the scene. I remained out of the firing lines and monitored the surrounding area, to ensure that no other hostile ships decided to make a mess of things. Uppercut handled the Discovery efficiently, putting it out of action in a matter of minutes.
I have all of the footage stowed in the chip of my Defender and have downloaded it to a secure drive in the event we require it for future study.
