Everything fell quiet as she yelled back into the nothingness of the void. Only silence would reply to her encouragements. The more she passed through the darkness, the more she would feel the cold air passing through her clothing. Impossibly, even, the same passing wind felt like grabbing her by the hands, holding her back from fully entering. A mild resistance to her, no less.
The Watcher stood still, watching from afar Revenant's attempts. Her fear of leaping into the void to save what she called a "friend" for so long. The hesitation made it all so enjoyable for the entity to watch. It might've been a simple game all along, or not. It was up to her to take her chances.
