Gunter didn't like doing something without a plan, but he could improvise when necessary. He was a calculated man after all. He got his thoughts together, and was about to pull the doorhandle.
Then he heard footsteps coming from behind him. "Leutnant Kunrad? Oberleutnant Habermeyer - Fregattenkapitän Stahl sent me to assist with your interrogation."
Gunter turned. "Ah, Traudel! It's great to see you again. I assume you are here to help with interrogating the Crimson Queen?"
Something was off... He could see Traudel shivering very lightly. Her eyes were wide open, almost like she had an internal panic attack.
He wanted to ask if everything was alright, but he knew that if he didn't get something out of the Corsair in time, an angry Stahl might jeopardize his entire career. "Perhaps it might be better you stay here a little until you feel... ready." "I suggest you follow the monitor for now until you're better." "Knock the window if you need anything.
He opened the same door again and entered the room. There she was, the woman he and his crew were chasing for such a long time.
The woman he saw looked like she was ready for a war with him. "Shame", he thought to himself. "This is the kind of pilots we need right now."
Nina noticed him researching her. "Now, someone else is here to try to get information from me? How funny."
"I told to the old man he will get nothing and it will be the same thing as you even if you are younger than him."
Gunter ignored her provocations. He knew if he talked to her the same way she did to him, it would be a losing fight to ever get something out of her.
He slowly paced around the room, kept researching her from left and right.
Not getting a response, Nina continued. "You are lucky." "I have no weapons on me."
He gave a light smile. "If you would have had any weapons Corsair, you would have been shot on sight by every crewmember in this Cruiser." "I guess that makes us both lucky in a way." He continued his slow pace from left to right.
This time just looking the way he was walking. "Nina was it?" "You have to know Nina, you don't have to give us information." "That is your fullest right." "But then we both know how this is gonna end."
He finally stopped pacing and stood right in front of the Crimson Queen. "I am Leutnant Gunter Kunrad and i will be the one interrogating you. I know you are though Nina, and i'm pretty sure you will resist us in any way possible."
"Know that this is fine for me. I have all the time in the world." That was a blatant lie though. He knew Stahl would return at one point, but she didn't need to know that. "You on the other hand," he continued, "can keep wondering in this cell how we fight your men without your leadership."
He now looked straight in her eyes like he was trying to read her mind. "The ball is in your court, Nina."
