I have only limited time as I'm still a student, but, yes, expect the treaty to be revised from the ground up in the coming proposal. If you want to have some ideas of what's being prepared, take a look at other recent treaties I've signed that also include secret parts to the treaty that give people benefits to playing the game too.
In addition to that, after the name change from NATO, we'll also have free leverage to put in an article that allows the signatories to activate a mobile battlegroup to respond to interstellar threats (i.e. invasions) along the lines of NATO article 5, but under such restrictions that the signatories will also be allowed to continue harbouring ill sentiments towards one another.
